Funny Connections

So today I had my Advance Audio Production course and funny enough Bjorn came up. Now the connections that I noticed between the conversations involving Bjorn and this class were also about advertisements. One of the conversations was with a fellow student who had sometime ago had Bjorn for a teacher. What he told us was that in that class there had been a student who pronounced Bjorn names improperly all the time. In response to this the student that is in my audio class said that when Bjorn entered the room one day and exclaimed "It's not delivery its Bjorno" just like what they say in the Digiorno commercials. Then after that a group did a radio show project and during it played a commercial one of them made that was for a movie called "Bjorn Again" which was suppose to be some action movie about Bjorn Ingvoldstad, though I can't remember who was going to play Bjorn.

Now the reason I saw these things as relating to COMM 229 is because of chapter 1 and how for it we had to examine some advertisements. I began to realize at that moment how advertisements really affect our lives. Companies develop their catchy phrases so that they get stuck in our head and we relate it to other things our life just like what happened with the digiorno commercial and the other guy in my audio class. Than you have the fake movie commercial where just like the catch phrase a catchy title or well known actor or actress involved with them. In this case it was more of a teacher that we all know.
