video games

Many of you more than likely have at least some knowledge oft he events of Columbine, Virginia Tech, and other schools and how there were shootings there. How about the fact that there are media organizations and other opponents that blame all of these events on violent video games? What I don't understand is why those groups point the finger at video games. I mean I personally play games that a lot of people would consider violent, but for me they actually help me relieve stress rather than want to go out and shoot people. I mean are people that sad that they have to go and point their finger at someone/something that may actually be the cause. If there was concrete proof that video games may have had a part in these peoples' actions, but to my knowledge there is none. So all I have to say is that until there is some concrete proof that all the media organizations and other opponents should find the real truth as to why those people did what they did.
